Two men were arrested and cited after fireworks they had discharged started a grass fire Tuesday night in Lynnwood.
Two men were arrested Tuesday night after they discharged fireworks and started a grass fire in Lynnwood, police said.
Fire crews responded to the fire on the west side of Alderwood Mall Parkway, just south of the Interstate 5 overpass, around 9 p.m., according to police. Officers determined the fire was caused by fireworks, which are prohibited in Lynnwood.
A 26-year-old man was arrested for unlawful discharge of fireworks and second-degree reckless burning. A second man, 32, was arrested for unlawful discharge of fireworks.
After being booked at the Lynnwood City Jail, both men were released with a summons to appear in court, police said.
