A crane fell onto a building under construction at Everett Mall on Thursday morning, the Everett Fire Department posted on X.
Two construction workers were injured, with one taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the department.
A second crane has been brought in to remove the first one from the building. Engineers are assessing the damage, the department said.
The 51-year-old mall is in the process of being redeveloped into what’s being called The Hub @ Everett, set to open in 2026, according to The Daily Herald. The new mall will include TopGolf as its anchor tenant.
