UPDATE, 1:30 p.m. | Seattle firefighters have extinguished the brush fire on the right shoulder of southbound Interstate 5 near Northeast 130th Street.

All lanes are open, according to the state Department of Transportation.

ORIGINAL POST | Firefighters are battling a brush fire along the right shoulder of southbound Interstate 5 in Shoreline.

The fire is near Northeast 130th street, according to the state Department of Transportation (DOT). Southbound traffic is backed up.

The DOT is recommending motorists use Highway 99.
