LA PUSH, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say crews are trying to help a whale that’s been entangled in fishing gear off the Washington coast.

The Coast Guard said on Twitter Tuesday that their crews and crews from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration responded to report of a humpback whale that was more than 15 miles off La Push.

The Coast Guard said later Tuesday that crews had arrived and that it was a juvenile gray whale, not a humpback.

No further information was released.
