Alaska Airlines announced it will lower ticket prices for flights between Seattle and Portland on Monday and Tuesday in response to a Monday morning Amtrak train derailment.

The airline reported a hiccup on its website, but if customers place the flight in a cart and check out, the new lower price will be there.

Delta said it will let travelers make a one-time change to a ticket without a fee if they are scheduled to travel to, from or through Seattle on Monday or Tuesday. Tickets must be reissued on or before Friday, the airline said.
