Firefighters rescued four people in two kayaks from the Puget Sound in Alki in West Seattle early Monday evening, according to a tweet by the Seattle Fire Department.

The department said they were “pulled from the water” but had “no apparent injuries.”

Sunday morning, a man was rescued by Seattle police Harbor Patrol from Lake Union after his kayak overturned. A large group of 21 kayakers were also struggling with large waves and 40 mph winds on Lake Union that day. Most made it to shore unaided, but officers pulled two from a tandem boat.

Authorities responded to the incident on Monday at 1210 Alki Ave. S.W.
