Since 2002, Ken Lambert has been a staff photographer at the Seattle Times, covering everything from hard news, to culture and lifestyle features. “I was lucky to have a second act in my career,” says Lambert, who covered the Clinton and Bush administrations, as well as Congress and the Pentagon before moving West. Was it hard going from flying Air Force One to hovering in a helicopter over Mount St. Helens? “Not at all, I love covering a specific area, and working in that community and its unique culture. The pictures are often specific to only that region.” Lambert also shoots cover stories for the newspaper’s Sunday magazine, Pacific NW, produces videos and has been tapped as a picture editor at two Super Bowls.
