Starting with the head, Marie Watt’s massive aromatic-cedar sculpture “Companion Species (Underbelly), 2018” is taken apart piece-by-piece at the Greg Kucera Gallery in Pioneer Square on Friday. It comprises 30 pieces with a total weight around 3,000 pounds. De-installation of the sculpture by the Portland artist took about 3 ½ hours. It measures 10.8 feet by 15.25 feet by 11.3 feet.
