“With Chinook Pass closing soon, I headed up to Tipsoo Lake in hopes of catching sunrise reflections of Mt. Rainier on the nearly frozen snow covered lake. Despite lingering clouds, the mountain cleared. Mission accomplished: Canon D5 Mark III, Sigma 35mm lens, f7.1, ISO640, 1/100 shutter-speed.”

Seattle Times reader Craig Goodwin Sr.'s shot of Mt. Rainier is a striking study in contrasts.
