Photographer: Kent Hitchings

Photo taken: Dec. 5, 2024, at Belfair State Park in Belfair, Wash.

Photographer’s description: “I used a Canon R6 Mark II with a Canon 14-35mm lens, set at 14mm, to capture this scene of early-morning fog in the trees in Belfair State Park.”

Critique: “I can imagine breathing in the brisk, clean air when I look at your photograph. Photographing the trees at a low angle like this created a powerful sense of grandeur and height. The trees span so tall overhead, it can make you feel as small as an ant. This perspective allows us to experience the great depth of your point of view at this state park. Thank you for sharing this moment with us!”
