Re: “Trump doubles down on Greenland, Panama” (Jan. 8, Nation & World):
The president-elect announces his concern for the Panama Canal. Thus, we can be assured he is studying how climate change is affecting the supply of water to the canal’s locks and how we can assist in a real solution to a real problem.
He announces how important Greenland and Canada are to our security, and why we must buy Greenland and make Canada the 51st state.
Would someone please inform him that Denmark and Greenland are NATO allies with sovereign borders?
Why not talk about making Mexico a state?
He thinks the Gulf of Mexico should now be referred to as the Gulf of America. Why not the Gulf of Trump?
Instead of fleshing out concepts for domestic health care and gun safety, he is absorbed in the play of little toy soldiers and imaginary landscapes, just as any other child would be.
