The city of Seattle and state Department of Transportation need to stop ignoring the illegal homeless camps along the state highways and overpasses.
Living in proximity to vehicle traffic poses a danger. A man sleeping in a tent in a greenbelt off Interstate 5 was killed by a car in 2016. On my way home recently, a homeless man darted across the express lanes under the Washington State Convention Center and was narrowly missed by vehicles. This is the second time I have seen this happen, and it will end in tragedy one of these times.
