In this time of deep-seated bipartisan politics, I find myself needing to take breaks from the constant barrage of news, usually to some remote, rocky trail.
When you are on a busy sidewalk, there is no feasible way to acknowledge every person’s presence. But when it’s just me and another hiker in the wilderness, I have a very hard time believing they really don’t see me.
In our world today, I would hope that everyone exercises every opportunity to spread kindness and goodwill. It can start with simply saying hello on a trail.
