We are distressed and angered to learn that the Navy is seeking to use more Washington state parks for Navy SEAL training. This is a preposterous idea, and the fact that they have suggested almost all the parks with Puget Sound waterfront is, simply put, outrageous. What gall.
I am sure there are private land owners who would agree to such uses (for a fee). And the Navy already has waterfront at several locations in Puget Sound.
The idea of a SEAL team storming ashore while our family is enjoying the beach is unacceptable. The Navy should stop pursuing this notion.
