Kudos on the editorial “Pass common-sense rules for opioids Rx” supporting efforts to limit the vast number of narcotics dispensed [Nov. 28, Opinion].
Another piece of the puzzle is to sweep out the quantities of unused opioids that currently clutter our (unlocked) medicine cabinets and are getting into the wrong hands and fueling the epidemic. Safe and secure medicine return is an important part of the response. Use King County’s secure medicine return drop-boxes at pharmacies and police stations.
