The communications system in King County is a mess [“Approve King County Prop. 1 to save lives,” Opinion, April 11]. So why is it that any public discussion on replacement is just now coming to light?
This is the very same system that was terrible last year — and the years before. Yet no one on our County Council saw fit to start a replacement program. Once again, we see that our county government cannot budget what they are elected to operate. Capital expenses are put off or ignored until it’s a “crisis.”
Without total and full airing of this program, I’m voting no. Waiting to the last possible moment does not fly.
