It was uplifting to read how the Trades Related Apprenticeship Coaching, or TRAC, is helping incarcerated women find meaningful and life-supporting employment after they are released from prison.
It seems that this type of life-skills training program is exactly what is needed to solve, or at least put a major dent in, the homelessness epidemic in Washington state. If, as a condition of receiving shelter, meals and health care from any private or public agency, such individuals were required to participate in a TRAC-like program, our homelessness problem could finally be on the mend.
