Bikers don’t do ourselves any favors when we flout traffic laws. We should advocate for defensive, predictable biking. That’s how we should roll. No weaving in and out of traffic, cutting off motor vehicles, running stop signs or red lights.

We should wear bright clothing, use bike lights, and practice consistent, lawful riding. Oh, and City Hall, please fix our potholed streets.

Here is a haiku that I hope will resonate: Dear fellow bikers / Traffic laws apply to us / Respect them and thrive
