Get chic-but-messy beach hair at home with these top texturizing sprays.
Maybe it’s the sea air talking, but my hair never seems to look better than it does after a well-deserved beach day. It’s wavy but not frizzy, and it looks textured, styled and windswept in an effortless way.
Unfortunately, I don’t have time to take a dip in the ocean every morning to achieve chic-but-messy locks. Fortunately, there are texturizing sprays to help achieve the look at home. Here are a few of our favorites.
Olivine Love + Salt Beach Hair and Body Mist ($26 at shopolivine.com). Made in Seattle, this mix of purified water, four kinds of salts and coconut oil adds sultry waves with a gorgeous scent.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($46 at oribe.com). For full, glamorous hair, try this cult favorite that builds volume and absorbs excess oil at the roots.
Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray ($26 at theouai.com). This spray is a triple threat: It builds volume and texture, absorbs oil and refreshes hair for a beachy, lived-in look. Plus, it’s scented with notes of Italian bergamot, water lily and white musk.
French Girl Sea Spray ($26 at frenchgirlorganics.com). All-natural, alcohol-free and locally made, this spray combines sea salt and essential oils for texture and a light, fresh scent.
Amika Un.Done Texture Spray ($24 at loveamika.com). This spray does exactly what it sounds like it would: It gives you undone, tousled hair with voluminous texture.
IGK Beach Club Texture Spray ($29 at igkhair.com). Get post-surfing hair from this spray that excels at creating a windswept look.
Living Proof Style Lab Texture Mist ($26 at livingproof.com). This mist creates a thick and texturized look. It isn’t sticky or stiff, and results in light, effortless waves.
Herbivore Sea Mist Texturizing Salt Spray ($20 at herbivorebotanicals.com). Essential oils add beachy aromas of coconut or lavender to this Seattle-made spray that adds volume and waves.
