FEDERAL WAY — At Star Water, a new community by Lungren Homes, each home is within a block of the Star Lake shoreline.
The 34 single-family residences are a short walk from an express bus to Seattle or Tacoma. The commute will improve when a planned Link Light Rail station opens nearby.
Homes range is size from 2,200 to 4,000 square feet and include three to five bedrooms, dens, bonus rooms and rec/leisure rooms. Many homes will feature views of the private community park or Star Lake.
The homes at Star Water feature new designs by the builder that are highlighted by modern exterior designs and materials. Every plan boasts a covered outdoor living area that expands the functional square footage of the home.
Inside, each kitchen includes an island that provides an expansive eating bar. Stainless steel appliances include a five-burner gas cooktop with multi-speed overhead hood fan to cater to the gourmet cook.
Kitchen and master-bath countertops feature granite or quartz slabs with tile backsplashes.
Master suites include an oversize, fully-tiled shower with adjoining dry-off niche. All powder bathrooms have custom-made cabinetry hung from the wall to look more like a piece of furniture than a typical counter.
Tankless hot-water heaters and high-efficiency gas furnaces provide creature comforts and lower utility bills.
Ten of the homes at Star Water are sold, and several owners have moved in. Additional homes are under construction and may be occupied over the coming months. Prices start around $500,000, with special buyer incentives offered by the Lungren Homes and Caliber Home Loans.
The Star Water furnished model home is open Fridays through Tuesdays from noon to dusk.
