MOUNT VERNON — A new phase of homesites is being released for sale this weekend at Twin Brooks, a hilltop neighborhood designed for active adults age 55 or older.
The builder, Landed Gentry Homes and Communities, is offering $5,000 worth of upgrades on select new homesites during October. Many of the sites are nearly a quarter-acre in size and border a natural stream buffer.
Twin Brooks includes homesites that range in size from 7,500 to more than 12,000 square feet. They are large enough to accommodate a three-car garage and wider single-level floor plans, including the builder’s double-master-suite design.
Twin Brooks is a community of mostly single-level homes that include fully maintained front- and backyards. Homes range in size from 1,682 to more than 3,200 square feet, and have at least three bedrooms and two baths.

A new rambler with the 2,260-square-foot Sidney design is complete and open for tours this weekend.
All homes at Twin Brooks include great-room layouts, wide hallways and doorways, and minimal steps (most have none). Each home includes a finished and insulated two- or three-car garage with a pull-down ladder and attic storage space above.
Homes feature slab granite countertops, hardwood flooring and stainless steel appliances with optional gas cooking. The partially fenced yards are fully landscaped and irrigated.
“It’s all about lifestyle for our buyers,” says Kendra Gentry-Decker, vice president of Landed Gentry Homes and Communities. “They don’t want to spend their time doing yardwork. They want to live in a beautiful new home and enjoy the free time that lower maintenance affords them.”
Buyers can personalize the flooring, cabinetry, lighting, and kitchen and bathroom packages in their home at the builder’s design showroom. “You can make every choice your own and personalize your new home,” Gentry-Decker says.
Homeowners will be close to Skagit Valley’s outdoor opportunities. They include hiking in the nearby North Cascades or at several local parks; fishing in the Skagit River and nearby Puget Sound; and viewing exhibits and performances at McIntyre Hall and other venues.
Twin Brooks is located near conveniences such as Skagit Valley Hospital, grocery stores, theaters and restaurants.
