There’s still time for a road trip!

Whether you like to pack light or bring all your creature comforts, we’ve got gear to make life on the road even more fun. And all are available locally, if you need a couple more things for this weekend’s Labor Day trip.

Herschel Supply Co. Strand Duffel ($65 at Moorea Seal, Belltown). If you’re a minimalist, this may be the only luggage you need. If you’re a maxi-packer, you can use it just for your accessories. Either way, the stylish, Vancouver-designed bag will always look great getting pulled out of the trunk.

Vans Velvet Chukka Sneakers ($65 at Nordstrom). An exclusive that’s part of Nordstrom’s Vans Pop-In, this soft boot is slick and modern, but also totally on-trend with its velvet texture and oxblood color. And you’ll be able to wear them anywhere from roadside rest stops to a fancy dinner.

Hydro Flask Coffee and Tea Flask ($25 at REI). Stay caffeinated with this compact travel cup that keeps liquids hot up to six hours. Then use it as a to-go mug all trip long. A super-secure lid prevents spills when you’re on the go, and double-wall construction keeps it cool to the touch.

Beecher’s Cheese Curds ($7.49 at Whole Foods). A road tripper cannot live on Bugles and mini donuts alone. Add some protein to your snack pack with these locally made cheese curds that can be popped alone or paired with some salami and crackers for a mini lunch on the go.

Happy Salmon ($15 at Card Kingdom, Ballard). Keep the passengers entertained with this new fast and portable game. There are no turns, so younger players won’t get frustrated. Players hold up cards and look for matches, then do whatever funny move is on the card. It’s simple enough for five year olds, but enough fun for the whole family.
