There’s a lot more summer left. Oh my word, summer is almost over! Whichever way you’re feeling, use it as motivation to get out of town and into the woods a couple more times.
Here are some products to take along to make your outdoor adventures a little more fun.
Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Packets ($10 for 50 at sriracha2go.com). You’ve got the ketchup and mustard, salt and pepper (probably in cute little camping containers). But sometimes you need to bring the heat. These handy packets can go with you anywhere.
Underwood Pinot Gris Wine in a Can ($7 at Trader Joe’s or $28 for four at shop.unionwinecompany.com). Don’t decant nice wine into a plastic bladder. Just pop these cans into the cooler for two glasses of Oregon wine on the go. Pinot noir is also available online.
Proof Payette Skate Sunglasses ($120 at iwantproof.com). Handcrafted from Canadian Maple skateboards, these cool shades made in Boise will having you feeling at one with nature while you’re out in nature.
Therm-a-Rest Honcho Poncho ($130 at cascadedesigns.com). Those sleeping bags with arm holes are cool, but a little cumbersome. This design from local company Therm-a-Rest is a little easier to move around in, but will keep you toasty even if there’s a burn ban. And it folds flat to create a blanket.
Filson Short Dog Bowl ($40 at Filson, Sodo). You’ll never kick over the dog bowl again with this hunter-orange tin cloth bowl lined with waterproof nylon. Local company Filson included a hanging loop and made it collapsible for easy toting.
