ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — The Coast Guard says a whale-watching boat ran aground north of Juneau.

Anchorage television station KTUU reports the Allen Marine vessel carried 113 passengers and five crew members when it ran aground in Favorite Channel north of Auke (awk) Bay.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Kyle Gee says the Coast Guard received a call at 10 a.m. Wednesday that the vessel ran aground on a sand bar while traveling north.

Passengers were transferred to an Allen Marine sister ship.

No one was injured.

The boat suffered a small crack on the port side hull.

It left under its own power when the tide rose about an hour after the grounding.
