BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) — Eight farm-to-table dinners will take place this summer at West Virginia state parks to promote locally produced food.

The Register-Herald reports the first event will be June 14 at Pipestem Resort State Park.

The dinners are a co-venture among state parks, the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, West Virginia Farmer’s Market Association and the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources as a way to promote locally grown food and produce.

Dinners also will take place at:

—Cacapon Resort State Park on June 21.

—Cass Scenic Railroad Historical State Park on Aug. 2.

—Chief Logan Lodge on Aug. 9.

—North Bend State Park on Aug. 16.

—Holly River State Park on Aug. 30.

—Hawks Nest State Park on Sept. 13.

—Blackwater Falls State Park on Sept. 27.
