INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California man who says a woman died after their bondage sex went wrong has been convicted of killing her and raping three other women.

Kevon Ross of Gardena was convicted Wednesday of 25 felony counts, including first-degree murder and sodomy of an unconscious victim.

He could face nearly 300 years to life in prison.

Prosecutors say Ross suffocated a woman at a Gardena hotel in 2015. Authorities say Kelli Nolan was wrapped in cellophane and duct tape from her abdomen to her hair. Ross later called 911 and his attorney said the death was accidental.

Prosecutors say that in other sexual encounters, Ross had women hanging from cloths around their necks until they were unconscious.

The defense argued that the women consented to the acts.
