SALEM, S.C. (AP) — Crews have resumed the search for a woman who reportedly fell from a waterfall in the northwestern corner of South Carolina.
Oconee County Emergency Services Chief Charles King said in a news release that someone called around 3:30 p.m. Sunday saying a woman had fallen about 70 feet (21 meters) from the top of Whitewater Falls.
Crews searched the land and water until about 8:30 p.m. without finding her. They resumed the search Monday morning. The woman’s name has not been released.
Oconee County officials said limited access to the area, along with storms and high river levels are making the search hard.
