LOS ANGELES (AP) — Forecasters say blustery winds bringing increased fire danger to Southern California could be followed by pockets of rain.
The National Weather Service says a Santa Ana wind condition that developed Saturday night will continue through Sunday.
Red flag warnings are in effect as relative humidity levels plunge and gusts top 60 mph (96 kph) in the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Fire officials have deployed additional resources to be able to respond quickly in case blazes break out.

Forecasters say it will be a short-lived wind event followed by a showery pattern Monday through Thursday, with snow levels falling as low as 3,500 feet (1,066 meters).
