BAYONNE, N.J. (AP) — Police in New Jersey say a restaurant employee holding a butcher’s knife chased down and assaulted a man who looked inside the restaurant.

The 21-year-old Bayonne man is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. The Jersey Journal reports the 32-year-old victim was walking by the restaurant Planet Wings Tuesday when he peered into the restaurant window to look for a friend.

The restaurant worker ran outside, chased down the victim and punched him. Police say the man did not use the knife, and it’s unclear if the men knew each other.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.
