NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Officials say a New Jersey man was fatally shot over the weekend in Newark.
Police identified the victim as 39-year-old Farad Green, who was found dead inside a retail store late Saturday night. NJ.com reports (http://bit.ly/2wNkZ2r ) police responded to the scene after receiving reports of shots fired.
Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information about the shooting was immediately available on Sunday. It remains under investigation by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department.
