NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who died after being struck by a car that was fleeing police in South Carolina last weekend.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office told local media that 35-yea-rold Rosael Gutierrez-Toledo of Hanahan died around 8 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say Gutierrez-Toledo was hit by someone trying to get away from police in Hanahan. Police are still looking for the driver of that car.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Bob Beres says a Chrysler 200 crossed a road before striking the victim.
