CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to over three years in federal prison for firearms and fentanyl possession.
Court documents say a police search from a traffic stop showed 27-year-old Paul Channel, of Belmont, had three syringes and a plastic baggie with a substance that tested positive for fentanyl. He didn’t have a prescription for it. Police also found a firearm with an obliterated serial number in Channel’s vehicle. Channel is prohibited from possessing a firearm because he is a convicted felon.
Channel had pleaded guilty in October.
