PITTSBURGH (AP) — Authorities say homicide and other charges have been filed against a man in the shooting death of a woman in Pittsburgh even though the defendant wasn’t the one who shot her.

Twenty-six-year-old Desmond Lyons of Wilkinsburg is accused of having conspired with 27-year-old Mia Green to rob another man.

Authorities in Allegheny County say Green went to a Homewood residence Feb. 28 and told the unnamed man she wanted to buy marijuana, then threatened him with a gun. They said the man wrestled the gun away from her and shot her three times.

Lyons is charged with criminal homicide, robbery and conspiracy in Green’s death. Police say he was jailed on unrelated charges when he was questioned about the slaying. Court documents don’t list a defense attorney for him.
