SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The Caddo Parish School Board has filled a vacancy left when a long-time board member died earlier this month.
The Times reports the board Tuesday selected Durwood Hendricks Jr. on a 6-5 vote to replace Larry Ramsey, who died of pancreatic cancer. Hendricks will serve until November elections.
Hendricks edged out former Caddo Parish Commissioner David F. Cox.
