LAKOTA, N.D. (AP) — A former church in Lakota has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The Register is the federal government’s list of properties it considers worthy of preservation and recognition.

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lakota was built between 1884 and 1886. The state Historical Society says the stone church is an excellent example of the High Victorian Gothic/Second Gothic Revival architectural style.
