VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — A former Barnes County jailer is facing criminal charges after he was accused of firing gunshots at a car following an argument at a party in Litchville.

Authorities say the 20-year-old Valley City man argued with another person at the party Feb. 18, pulled out a handgun and threatened others in the house. Three people left the party and drove toward Valley City on Highway 1. A criminal complaint says Blaskowski fired about four rounds at the moving car from another vehicle. He’s charged with terrorizing, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin says Blaskowski has resigned from his job as a correctional officer. He is due in court Tuesday for a hearing.
