DENVER (AP) — A Douglas County sheriff’s deputy has been released from a hospital after two suspects rammed the deputy’s patrol car during a highway chase.

The sheriff’s office says Friday the deputy, whose name wasn’t released, suffered unspecified injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies were trying to arrest the suspects, wanted in connection with motor vehicle theft and other offenses, when the pair led them late Thursday on a high-speed chase north on Interstate 25 from Highlands Ranch to Littleton.

The suspects reversed direction and sped southbound, striking the marked patrol vehicle before they were arrested.

The driver, Joshua Soto, was being held for investigation of attempted homicide and other charges. Passenger Hannah Lee was being held on an outstanding warrant.
