METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Deputies say three men found inside a stolen SUV in a New Orleans suburb have been arrested.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jason Rivarde tells The Times-Picayune 19-year-old Payton Jacobs, 20-year-old Gerald Jefferson Jr. and 19-year-old Joshua London were taken into custody Wednesday in Metairie. The sheriff’s office says the Subaru Forester was reported stolen Tuesday in New Orleans.

New Orleans police say in a statement that Jacobs admitted to the carjacking.

A 47-year-old woman told police she left the vehicle running with the door open. She returned and found a man in the driver’s seat who pointed a pistol at her and drove away.

The men are held in Jefferson Parish on charges including possession of stolen property valued between $5,000 and $24,999. It is unclear if they have lawyers.
