DEWEY BEACH, Del. (AP) — Police say two bicyclists killed over the weekend in a Delaware beach town were from the District of Columbia.
Delaware State Police on Sunday identified the victims as 53-year-old James D. Walton and 58-year-old Richard Chittick.
The two were killed early Saturday evening in Dewey Beach after being struck by an SUV. Police say the driver of a Chevy Suburban blacked out after suffering a medical emergency.
The victims were on their bicycles outside the Starboard Bar and Restaurant when they were struck. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
