RIDGELAND, S.C. (AP) — Another private school in South Carolina has closed its campus because of the flu outbreak.

Thomas Heyward Academy in Ridgeland said on its website that students would work from home Wednesday through Friday because of the number of students out sick with the flu.

The announcement said school officials decided to post assignments online. Staff will work to clean the campus to try to cut down on flu cases.

The school offers classes from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Sports and school activities will be rescheduled.

Last week, Beaufort Academy on Lady’s Island shut down classes for the lower grades as a precaution because of the flu outbreak.
