LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Thousands of people have taken part in an annual anti-abortion rally in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that thousands gathered Saturday morning at the State Capitol for the 44th annual Walk for Life. Participants marched from the State Capitol to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Union several blocks away.

The walk is scheduled to coincide with the January 1973 anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion.
