STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) — Three people have been taken to the hospital following a fire in Stratford.
The Connecticut Post reports almost two dozen firefighters responded to the home Sunday morning and rescued three people suffering from burns and smoke inhalation.
Firefighters found an unconscious dog on the second-floor, but could not revive him. The family was taken to the hospital with one person being released Sunday afternoon.
Fire officials say they are investigating the cause of the fire, which gutted the building.
