Seattle Times reader Patti Chambers’ photo of a meaningful moment between two raptors
Photographer: Patti Chambers; Bay View, Skagit County Photo taken: Jan. 25, Skagit Valley Photographer’s description: “Shot this photo of an adult and an immature eagle along the Samish River near Edison. Perhaps the young one is getting a hunting lesson. First attempt at using a new Tamron 150-600 zoom and I was pleased with the results. Camera body is a Nikon d5000.” Katie’s critique: “Fantastic photo. Nice work on a clean background and capturing the interaction between the beautiful birds. The lens sounds like a fun tool to play around with (it becomes a 900 mm on this camera that has a crop sensor). If you ever feel like you are in a photography rut, I definitely recommend borrowing or renting a fun lens to go play with; it can spark a light.” Share your recent photo from around the Northwest.
