Seattle Times reader Cheri Kopp’s colorful photo of berry boxes at the Port Townsend farmers market is the winner of our July photo contest.
Here’s the winning entry in our July reader-photo contest with a farmers market theme. The photographer wins a Canon photo bag. Photographer: Cheri Kopp, Shoreline and Port Townsend Photo taken: July 9, Port Townsend Saturday Farmers Market Photographer’s description: “We’re fans of Chimacum’s Spring Rain Farm, both for their produce and merchandising, including the $20 ‘flight’ of berries: any six containers of your choice. This is an iPhone photo taken just before we chose fresh raspberries, Silvan berries, strawberries and orange cherry tomatoes — YUM!” Katie’s critique: “This defines farmers markets for me. I love the bold colors and the pattern. The thoughtful elongated crop makes sure no distracting elements are included. The light hitting the berries and tomatoes is also really nice. Very fun image.” Share your recent photo from around the Northwest. Submit online at seattletimes.com/submit-photos. We judge the year’s best and award a $250 gift card and other prizes every December. Below is a gallery of past Reader’s Lens picks.
