Seattle Times reader Raxit Kagalwala’s photo of a climbing group atop Mount St. Helens.
Photographer: Raxit Kagalwala, Bellevue Photo taken: July 21, summit of Mount St. Helens Photographer’s description: “We hiked up to the summit of Mount St. Helens in a group of 20 people, including kids ranging from 10 to 18 years old. It turned out to be a beautiful day, with gorgeous views of the surrounding peaks. This photo shows our group at the summit, with Mount Adams in the background.” Katie’s critique: “This is a very fun photo with tons of texture and a breathtaking view. Getting wide and taking a few steps back on this shot is really what makes this frame. It isn’t the stereotypical we-made-it-to-the-top group shot and I think that’s why I love it so much. Fun and beautiful!” Share your recent photo from around the Northwest. Submit online at seattletimes.com/submit-photos (and see an online gallery of other Reader’s Lens photos).
