The New York Times has published a list of 52 places to visit in 2019. Let’s set aside, for a moment, how ambitious the concept of visiting a different destination each week sounds, and focus on what matters: A place in Washington state made the list.

Orcas Island, described as “a small island (that’s) attracting big-time foodies,” nabbed the attention of New York Times travel editors “for its impressive tide-to-table culinary scene and experimental wines.” Oh, and because Oprah has an estate there now.

Thinking of visiting Orcas Island? Besides the rave-worthy local food scene, you can try glamping, explore trails in Moran State ParkĀ and enjoy the scenery from your ferry ride.
