In observance of National Get Outdoors Day, Saturday, June 13, is a free-entry day at Washington state parks and all national forests. No Discover Pass will be required for day use of state parks, and no Northwest Forest Pass will be required at National Forest fee sites and trailheads.

The national event, co-founded by the U.S. Forest Service and the American Recreation Coalition, has the primary goal of reaching underserved populations and first-time visitors to public lands, and reconnecting youth to the outdoors.
