Gary Peltz went looking for good fall colors off Highway 2, and nature delivered.
Photographer: Gary Peltz, Seattle Photo taken: Oct. 9, east side of Stevens Pass Photographer’s description: “While looking for some good fall colors on Highway 2, this stand of Aspens came into view across the road from a large pull off. The sun came out right as I was shooting to light the trees up.” Katie’s critique: “Sometimes we have to wait an excruciating amount of time for the beautiful light to show up and sometimes we are blessed with it right away, like the photographer was in this case. The golden leaves are highlighted by the lovely light and we get that hue throughout the frame. I love that there aren’t any distracting evergreens to take our eye away from these golden beauties. A fall gem of a photo.” Share your recent photo from around the Northwest. Submit online at seattletimes.com/submit-photos (and see an online gallery of other Reader’s Lens photos).
