Nightly rates start at $113 per person, Sea-Tac to Kauai, with hotel, for 7 days, double occupancy
Fall is my favorite time to visit Hawaii, and Seattle-based Alaska Airlines this week is staging what it calls a 72-hour Flash Sale on autumn air travel to the islands.
Package deals from Seattle including round-trip airfare and hotel start at $113 per person per night (to Kauai), based on double occupancy for a 7-night stay. That adds up to $1,582 total per couple, which might mean $400 per seat on the plane and about $111 a night for a hotel room, both of which are pretty decent deals for Hawaii. Details are here.
Of course, there’s tiny print you have to read at the bottom of the web page: Listed prices require travel between Oct. 5, 2015 and Dec. 7, 2015 on select Mondays between the mainland except between Oakland and Oahu, and Kauai requires travel on select Tuesdays, etc., etc. Caveat: You might have to pay the hotel’s odious “resort fee” on top of the quoted rate. (See the website.)
Sale ends Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:59 p.m., Pacific time.
