Readers rave about attentive driver, rant about slow highway driving.

RAVE To the person driving on a busy arterial near Sea-Tac Airport during rush hour who noticed boys horsing around and slowed down when one boy fell from the sidewalk into the street, giving him time to get up and out of the way. Thank goodness the driver in that lane was paying attention; you never know when a freak thing like that might happen. I’d hate to have been a distracted driver at that moment!

RANT Why does driving in Seattle feel like I’m a salmon struggling to get upstream? Rant to people who don’t know or accept that highway driving is different from arterial driving. Unless conditions dictate otherwise, step on the gas and move along, and slow traffic stays to the right.
